Maddie & Harry — June Wedding
There’s something enchanting about a winter wedding. If done well, they give summer weddings a real run for their money.
Maddie & Harry’s wedding in June 2021 was nothing short of magic. From the black tie dress code and the bride’s jaw-dropping sleeved dress through to the late night dancing and Yellowstone-themed recovery day, there’s no question they did the season justice.
Couples often ask our wedding coordinators about hosting a wedding in winter. We’ve shared their thoughts with you below.
“Our advice is to really lean into the beauty of the season you’re getting married in! Whilst each season has its perks, there’s a unique ‘wonderland’ feeling that only winter can deliver. On the Mona Farm estate, winter welcomes frosty mornings, big outdoor fires, chocolatey red wines and delicious earthy produce. Plus, getting married outside of ‘peak season’ means you’ll be able to save money on the venue hire and redirect your budget towards something special like a truffle station or a tequila menu. Win!”

“Many couples look for the spring and summer blossoms and foliage but it was the dramatic cool lighting that was a massive drawcard for us. Not to mention, we were able to extend the celebration over the June long weekend hosting not only our wedding at Mona Farm but also an amazing ranch themed recovery party the next day. Our winter wedding was perfect, intimate and romantic.”
