The Welcome Dinner — Alex & Alex

On Tuesday the 20th of December, just as people were beginning to switch on their OOO’s, Alex & Alex were welcoming their 118 guests in style. As guests flowed onto The Homestead Lawn they were greeted by our Resident Mixologist Pierre with a glass of Veuve Clicquot. In the background, the delicious smell of delicately smoked vegetable skewers and succulent lamb cooked by Executive Chef Tristan, Sous Chef Aaron & Poppy was a tantalising taste of what was to follow.

At 6:30pm, dressed in a stunning white dress, arm-in-arm with her husband-to-be, Alex made her grand entrance via the stone path. Greeted by excited family & friends, the couple made the rounds and made their way into the heart of the soirée.

The evening itself was one of those quintessential Braidwood nights. Sunny yet crisp. By this time in December the mood was cheery and festive — the guests were ready to celebrate. As the night progressed and the sun set, the guests were treated to another Braidwood classic - the sunsets. Reds, purples and pinks lit up the sky as guests enjoyed their last round before strolling back to their luxury guest houses.

The best thing about the night? It was simply a taste of what was to come next.
