Tidmarsh

Built in 1856, historic ‘Tidmarsh’ is a two-storey granite fieldstone house modelled on a rural Irish Inn of the early 19th century. The property was originally built for Patrick Goulding, the town’s postmaster and later clerk of the bench. Tidmarsh is notable for its hand-cut bloodwood shingled roof and granite exterior, a nod to the Goulding’s homeland, Ireland.

A traditional wood-framed six-bay barn known as ‘Long Barn’ can also be found on the property, accommodating another 8 guests. In 2003, Long Barn was restored using scaled designs from the original 1860s building.

Sleeping up to 16 people in total, the property features a historic steeple, original fireplaces, charming bedrooms, spacious living rooms, quality kitchens, sunroom, stunning brick French-style courtyard, dedicated outdoor entertaining spaces and an original 1850s bar.

Please note, Tidmarsh is a sister property of Mona Farm however, it is located in the heart of Braidwood town (not onsite).
