When Tom emailed us earlier this year, he had a vision. He pictured a sunny day, a garden backdrop and a very surprised Rosie. We’re happy to report that on a sunny day in winter, Tom dropped a knee and proposed to a joyous (and very surprised) Rosie. She said yes. The best part? Dylan (the photographer) had been camouflaged as a member of our gardening team and captured the whole thing. Brilliant. We’re so pleased that we were able to assist Tom in executing his vision. It was delivered perfectly, just as he’d pictured all those months ago.

The couple made the most of Mona Farm’s spectacular garden spaces, hosting their welcome event in The New Stables and outdoor entertaining area, officiating their marriage on The Crab Apple Lawn and letting their hair down for a large-scale recovery event held across the sweeping Homestead Lawn.

Their ceremony which Basilia describes as being ‘so us’ was followed by cocktails on The Homestead Lawn, dinner in The Woolshed & dancing under the moonlit skies.

After plenty of dancing, a round of espresso’s and a scoop of Messina, guests strolled back to their accommodation.

As luck would have it, the sun beamed down on Shalea as she floated down the aisle and held off until the ‘I do’s’ were exchanged. It was only once their guests had enjoyed a cocktail at the Post-Ceremony Drinks that the rain finally made a brief appearance. With the Champagne flowing, our onsite umbrellas at the ready and that ‘newlywed’ atmosphere - we assure you, the mood was anything but damp.
