When Rhett, a talented film director and Roma, an effervescent costume designer tied the knot, it felt momentous. As they so eloquently put it “filled with false starts, family tragedy and national emergencies, we were finally able to have our wedding”. The Welcome Dinner — Alex & Alex

On Tuesday the 20th of December, just as people were beginning to switch their OOO’s on, Alex & Alex were welcoming their 118 guests in style. As guests flowed onto The Homestead Lawn they were greeted by our Resident Mixologist Pierre with a glass of Veuve Clicquot. In the background, the delicious smell of delicately smoked vegetable skewers and succulent lamb cooked by Executive Chef Tristan, Sous Chef Aaron & Poppy was a tantalising taste of what was to follow.

A Relaxed Lakeside Recovery

The day after their wedding, Amy & Cam organised a relaxed recovery day by Mona Lake. After a big night celebrating, a good dose of of Vitamin D, a refreshing dip and freshly brewed coffee from our Coffee Cart went down an absolute treat! Post-dip, guests devoured Tristan's spin on the classic ‘Egg & Bacon roll’ made with Braidwood’s ‘Dojo Bread’, smoked streaky bacon, local free-range eggs, haloumi and roasted mushrooms along with a selection of French pastries and seasonal fruits.
